Add Preliminary Polls in Forum

I would like to suggest that we offer a form of voting in this forum (open to anyone) so people’s ideas can be heard and votes recorded to show interest or disinterest in those ideas. Currently someone creates a post, and there are several replies but it kind of ends there and you have to assume people’s interest. A simple voting tool in the thread would be a great record of “yays" vs. “Nays”

This would be a great way to understand what the community wants without a pay wall and would help identify topics that need to go to an official poll. People can respond with changes, ideas or interest in sponsoring an Official Poll. This would funnel very nicely into the below Post from March 2025 with pooled polls.

I definitely like the idea but can we add polls on forum too? Like do they have the option to add them? If so I think we definitely can add polls on some posts to get opinions easily.
